Get the Best From Your Felvoria Lux Hair

With the right care, your Felvoria Lux extensions can stay beautiful, soft and fresh throughout your style.

Whether you’ve chosen Bone Straight, French Curls, Deep Wave, Italian Curls, Loose Wave, Burmese Curls or another texture, your hair may require slightly different care depending on the fibre and style.

Always check the individual product description before washing, applying products or using heat.

1. BEFORE INSTALLING YOUR HAIR

For the best finish, we recommend having your Felvoria Lux extensions installed by an experienced professional braider who is familiar with the type of hair you have purchased.

Our extensions are supplied ready for installation, so there is generally no need to unnecessarily brush, stretch or manipulate the hair before your appointment.

Preparing Your Natural Hair

Before your installation:

  • Wash and thoroughly dry your natural hair.

  • Stretch or blow dry your natural hair if this is appropriate for your chosen hairstyle.

  • Make sure your hair is clean, detangled and ready to be sectioned.

  • Ask your braider to create clean, even partings for a neat finish.

  • Avoid excessive tension during installation to help protect your natural hair and scalp.

For smoother textures, your braider should secure the hair carefully through the first installation, including towards the ends, to help achieve a neat and long-lasting finish.

2. AFTER INSTALLATION

Once your hair has been installed, gentle maintenance is key.

For curly and wavy textures, lightly refresh the hair with water and a suitable leave-in conditioner when needed. Gently separate curls or waves with your fingers while the hair is slightly damp.

Allow the hair to dry naturally whenever possible.

Try to avoid heavy oils, thick creams and excessive product application, as these can create build-up and make the extensions feel weighed down.

3. EVERYDAY CARE

A simple routine can help maintain the appearance of your extensions.

  • Apply a small amount of lightweight leave-in conditioner or suitable hair product when needed.

  • Concentrate products mainly on the mid-lengths and ends.

  • For curls and waves, a light mousse can help revive the texture between washes.

  • Avoid overloading the hair with multiple products.

  • Protect your hairstyle overnight with a satin or silk bonnet, scarf or pillowcase.

4. DETANGLING

Always detangle your extensions gently.

For curly and wavy textures, lightly dampen and condition the hair before detangling.

Begin at the ends and gradually work towards the roots, using your fingers or a suitable wide-tooth comb.

Avoid aggressively brushing or combing dry curls and waves, as this can disturb the texture and contribute to unnecessary tangling or shedding.

5. WASHING YOUR EXTENSIONS

When your extensions need refreshing:

  1. Gently remove tangles before washing.

  2. Use lukewarm water rather than very hot water.

  3. Cleanse gently with a mild, suitable shampoo.

  4. Rinse thoroughly without rough handling or excessive rubbing.

  5. Apply conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends.

  6. Rinse carefully and gently remove excess water.

Avoid twisting, scrubbing or squeezing the hair aggressively during washing.

6. DRYING & STYLING

Whenever possible, air drying is the gentlest option for your extensions.

If your particular hair is suitable for heat styling, use a heat-protective product and keep the temperature controlled.

Important: Not all Felvoria Lux extensions are heat resistant. Always check the individual product listing before using straighteners, curling irons, blow dryers or other heated styling tools.

Use a suitable wide-tooth comb, fingers or an extension-friendly brush depending on the texture.

7. NIGHT-TIME CARE

Protect your hair before going to bed to help reduce friction and maintain your style.

We recommend:

  • Gently securing longer hair before sleeping.

  • Using a satin or silk bonnet or scarf.

  • Alternatively, sleeping on a satin or silk pillowcase.

  • Avoiding tight hairstyles that place unnecessary tension on the extensions or your natural hair.

Curly and wavy textures may benefit particularly from overnight protection to help preserve their shape.

8. REUSING YOUR EXTENSIONS

Depending on the specific product, texture and how it has been maintained, some Felvoria Lux extensions may be suitable for reuse.

Before reinstalling previously worn hair:

  1. Carefully remove any tangles or shed hair.

  2. Cleanse the extensions gently.

  3. Apply conditioner and allow it to sit according to the product’s needs.

  4. Rinse thoroughly.

  5. Leave the hair to dry completely in a natural, well-ventilated space.

  6. Once fully dry and in good condition, the extensions can be prepared for another installation where the product allows.

The number of times hair can be reused will vary. Synthetic fibres, in particular, may have different limitations depending on the texture and how the hair has been worn and maintained.

9. REMOVING YOUR BRAIDS

Take care when removing your hairstyle.

If your extensions have been installed tightly or worn for an extended period, we recommend having them removed by an experienced braider.

Careful removal can help minimise unnecessary pulling, tangling and stress on your natural hair and the extensions.

Do not pull or force tangled sections apart.

Before washing, styling or applying heat, always read the individual product description and care instructions provided for your chosen hair.

Some of our extensions are made from synthetic fibres and cannot be straightened, curled or exposed to high temperatures.
